La-Palma (Canary Islands), The Weather
The optimal riding season on the Canary Islands is November through March.
Average temperatures: 20-25 Celsius during the day, reaching as low as 15 at night.
Sea Temperature: 19-22 Celsius.
The island has two climatic regions. On the western side, where we will be residing, there are about 30 rainy days a year; while on the eastern side there are over 120 rainy days a year!
When planning how to dress, take into consideration the temperature changes related to elevation. We will be lodging at sea level and riding to heights of up to 2,000 meters. The temperature declines about one degree per 100 meters of elevation.
Before the holiday, a detailed list of recommended clothing will be sent to all registrants.
